Report on the fall of the First Tooth and Claw, 1125

To The Lord Marshal of Albion
Around midafternoon, our scout reported that much of the noise and
movement in and around Rutterkins Wood. The battalion commanders
sent out a small force to investigate. They encounter only minor
resistance at the edge of the woods and a small way in so returned to
report. On getting this report the commander decided to engage fully
with the force in the woods. The battalions met no resistance until some
way into the woods, those fighting against the battalion were mainly
those Skathen who could barely hold a weapon. Many were killed and
some taken prisoner. Deep into the wood the 1St Tooth and Claw
engaged what can only be described as a monstrous rat ogres. My Lord
Marshal, I have the horrible task of report the demise of the 1St tooth
and Claw, but they fought to the bitter end and killed all of these large rat
ogres. The rest of the fighting was little more than men versus weak,
near death or elderly Skathen, if the truth be told it was a massacre. Of
note, in the near centre of the wood we found what can only be
described as a shrine and alter. The shrine was decorated with bleached
skull and many animals and Skathen and lots of Black Ivy. The alter in
the middle of the shrine was similar in decoration, however something
seemed missing from this alter. After a brief questioning of some of the
captured, they report that the alter was the resting place of the
Hollowtooth skull. It was taken once Sizzlefire and his main force had
moved out. They reported seeing strange coloured lights and a walking
plant take it.

We have begun to clear the area, many of the Skathen wish to return to
Clan Hollowtooth and Londinium, we are holding them until ordered
otherwise.
Of Note my Lord
One of the creatures we captured was rumbling quiet a lot and it wasn’t
until one of the troops who spoke Skathen realised what they were say. “
Right or rite Lay the heart of Ivy to rest” over and over again. They were
at the time also covered in Black Ivy.

Yours in Service
Richard Weybridge
