Royal Blood
by R B, Captain Eclipse and Martin Karlennon
A maiden touched the Pendragon throne,
A prince was in great danger,
Torn from his royal mothers arms,
By the fell hand of a stranger
The warband over hearing this,
Were filled with great alarm,
Determined now to rescue him,
Before he came to harm
Chorus:
Royal blood is spilt on Albion’s soils
Royal blood on the Emperors hands,
You may have cruelly slain our Queen,
Yet Albion still stands
Repeat Chorus
In Winchester that royal town,
They met with our fair lady,
The chains of Helsgate jail were broke,
By agents foul and shady
The Prince is taken from his home,
The Queen at once declared,
Prince Edward must be found my lords,
No effort must be spared,
Repeat Chorus
Repeat Chorus
Our heros tracked the royal blood,
Cross valleys woods and fields,
Until the Prince was sighted,
And his captors charged to yield
But yield him up they would not do,
And so they stood to fight,
Our band struck down the young boys foes,
Withstood their sorcerous might
Repeat Chorus
Repeat Chorus
And as they turned toward the town,
A scout came to them shaking,
The Queen was stricken down by foes,
The royal court near taken
Foul Joshrim’s men had by his word,
The treaty torn misleading,
Against his promise taken steps,
To leave Queen Elspeth bleeding
Repeat Chorus
Repeat Chorus
They charged half mad into the town,
The royal blood was draining,
Assasins knife thrust in her breast,
No life force now remaining
So now Queen Elspeth’s dead and gone,
Her pattern has departed,
With bloody vengence we’ll fight on,
And finish what THEY started
Repeat Chorus
