Spineshank came to the Court of Albion in 1118 under a very different form, originally known as Merlott Rooj, a Witch of Essex and an elf of little note, they were chosen by the Yellow Cloak of Chaos and taken by followers The Great Horned Rat before the Chaos War, where they were infected with the Vermillion Curse within the fiery Underdark circle of Downfall and transformed into a Skathen who embodies the pestilent power of his new Ancestor.
Since those days Spineshank has assisted Albion in the liberation of Londinium from the lich, the so-called Prince Aethalwald, helped to rid Oxford of the Turnkey Court, has been instrumental in the destruction of Vortigern’s schemes and assisted in many rites and rituals and special missions for the good of Albion, and has led the resurgence of Clan Hollowtooth, the nascent skathen clan which lay dormant and leaderless beneath the lands of Albion.
Spineshank was named Lord Mayor of Londinium for his meritorious service to Albion and during his mayoral term, he has instituted unprecedented drainage system reform, a record increase followed by a suspiciously sharp decline in knife-related crime and the transformation of Londinium into a melting pot of refugees and travellers from across Albion and Erdreja. Known as Uncle Shanky by locals, he has been instrumental in setting up schools and orphanages in order to educate and train the less fortunate in the best interests of Albion. In 1122 he was Oathsworn to both Albion and the Incantors Guild, with the former rumoured to have been administered at knifepoint.
As High Priest of the Great Horned Rat, Deputy of the Dark College of Incantation on Erdreja and Second Incantor of Albion, Spineshank is a champion for the darker aspects of faith, the grim realities of life and the harsh necessities that survival in a cruel world require be faced.
A harsh teacher to the people of Albion, one with little time for those who will not act when action is required, he is often a sharp knife in the heart of those who underestimate Albion’s will to defend what belongs to them, ever ready to feed the enemies of the people and land to the ever-growing swarm he commands.
