State of Albion, Spring moot 1125

Your Grace′s
The Lady Protector has bid me draw up this report on the state of Albion.
Albion has fared well these winter months, and the people of Albion
have taken to the news of Lady Maru becoming the Lady Protector
The work to rebuild Oxford draws to a close with the last few bits and
finishing touches, hoping to be completed in the summer. A new trading,
transport, and storage hub should provide for more stable deliveries and
supply across the whole of Albion. Housing to support those who will
staff this facility is complete. With the help of the Locksmith Guild of
Albion and the transport capabilities of the Durst Trading company
counting houses in Oxford and across Albion have been upgraded. A
large number of the noble houses have taken the opportunity to do the
same.
Many of the inhabitants of Bristol and the surrounding area have
returned home after the last of the Skaven were cleared from Rattakins
Wood. The area is still being patrolled by rangers and scouts, but there
have been no further signs of the Skaven. The people of Bristol have
held a memorial service for those lost from the battalions that defend
Bristol, in particular The 1st Tooth and Claw battalion that was lost to a
Beastkin. The city of Bristol would like it to be known that, as a gratitude,
all Beastkin of Albion will always find a warm bed and a meal there.
Elsewhere in Albion. The Imperial 9th Legion, once thought lost in the
Mists, has returned. After leading Albion forces on a wild meander, they
doubled back and sacked the town and kept at Poynton. Eyewitnesses
and locals say they have all been treated fairly and have found the
imperial soldiers to be very courteous. No one was killed in the sacking,
and they have paid for everything. This is classified as one of the most
pleasant sackings in Albion’s history.
Reports continue to flood in, as black ivy spreads across the land. In
some areas, this is now starting to affect the growing of crops and
delaying planting, etc. A potential knock-on effect may be felt later in the
season.
Locals in Caer Avalon are reporting that a great Black tower can be seen
on the edge of the Mists; they have said the tower is becoming less
blocked by the mists and can often be seen for long periods of time.

Those local to the coastline of Albion and some sailors have reported
seeing a large black ship in the waters off Albion. Admiral Carlotta may
have more information on this.
For information regarding the armies of Albion, speak to the Lord
Marshal.
In the larger wooded areas of Albion, reports are filtered in of strange
walking bushes covered in glowing flowers, these flowers change colour
as they move. Each colour has a different effect on those who get to
close.
Large numbers of Albion citizens have reported vivid nightmares, the
nightmare are always about the ancestor they fellow. These citizens are
suffering from sleep deprivation and in many cases are often pattern
marked.
The Iver mountains seem to be the home of an Imperial facility, that a
whole town of vipers appear to have moved into.
As always speak to those at court from your duchy.
Yours in service to the throne and the Trinity.
