Healer Houses 1100
Although the care and management of the Healer Houses is given over to the Healers’ Guild, Albion has no ‘treaty of extra-territoriality’ with that or any other Guild. The Healer Houses remain part of Albion and thus are subject to Albion Law.
The healing houses of Albion are of three types:
Chapter Houses, the largest, are like teaching hospitals; centres where new healers are trained and where specialist skills can be found.
The major Guild Houses are based at regional capitals
Minor Guild Houses can be found serving the function of cottage hospitals in many towns around the land.
