Vanaheim

Lysandra Charenten
adapted from a song by Robiarto zh’Immermein

Gather round, let me sing you a song if I can
Of a mage, and a Lady, and a woman, and a man
The woman drawn in by wise words in the night
And bound by rose garlands of black, red and white
"No man is an island", were the words that he’d quote
"Nor a woman," said the man in the red and white cloak
But the mage brought the Lady to the lofty white spire

Taken out of her chamber in plain night attire
Harsh words, sharp daggers, and a magical sword
In defence of the Lady whose service he swore
But it wasn’t for the daggers, but mere words that he spoke
That the mage slew the man in the red and white cloak

What lay in his mind, she’d never dared ask
In his red and white robe, he had a face like a mask
Since the mage loosed his power on merely a whim
She’d settle for justice, though she’d rather have him
But no word of goodbye, there was nothing he wrote
Forever lost is the man in the red and white cloak
