Hounds of Albion

Reports concerning the quest into the Greenwood and the retrieval of the cup of the Hunter.

Winter 1108
This is my report of what we did in the Greenwood and it is short because everyone needs to be able to know the information but doesn’t have time to read about all my thoughts and everything.
If you are in the Harts and you are in the Green Wood Lyra is in charge because she has rank and she is our Alpha and we do what she says to do. We transported into the deep Green Wood to try to cleanse it and get rid of bad Calligar worshippers. Then later we were at Chapel Perilous and it was like a village and it had a shrine in and it wasn’t on the plane of unlife.
When we were there we saw some elves who were Siratha elves and they gave us lots of tests and they were helped by some people who weren’t Siratha elves. They were a priestess but I don’t know her name and also Kelvin and Amryel and Robin. They checked who we thought was the alpha and they did a pretend wedding where they pretended that the lady was going to be a slave if she got married and they got us to help to take an elf to a grove to be a guardian of it. The guardian said that if we slept there we would see our enemies and some of us did but all we know is that enemies are corrupting the land and it wasn’t a very helpful vision.
We had to do some more tests including getting one hundred heads of Calligar worshippers and collecting things to reforge a bow which was the Bow of the Huntsman’s Daughter and that was Amryel. We got hair of a dryad, a heart of a stone ogre, tears of a widow and blood of a heretic but we didn’t get all the informations to get them all at once, we had to do some and then the rest later. We also had to deal with some people who were doing the work of Calligar. One of them was brought to us as a prisoner and the other one was pretending to be just a normal Hart and he was planning to betray us but only because he was being forced to.
We had to cleanse the grove again because some bad goblins in our party desecrated it. But we made the bow and after we did that we got the sword of sir Gawain but I don’t know how. Someone said that Kelvin had it. We also had to cleanse the shrine in the village because the Calligar hounds ran in and caused havoc there when we were out fighting in the woods. On the night there were bards who came and sang and asked us to sing and tell them stories. The people who did that got papers with stories on in return and people are transcribing the stories for us.
The reason for doing most of these things was to get the Cup of the Hunter which is a special healing cup that got stolen away earlier. We had to fight Calligar worshippers for it because it was in the hands of Calligar and that made Amryel scream and have visions which helped us know where to go for it and we did that but we had to purify it and to purify it we had to use the sword in a rite at midday and we had to wash it with Calligar hounds’ blood. We did all that stuff and Ripper promised to always look after the cup and to protect it with his life.
Also, we went to help some people through a transport beacon but I don’t know where it took us. We had to fight our way through misty elemental things to get there and we collected frozen logs to make a special fire to guide some ships in. We knew to do this because some navy people came to us for help in Chapel Perilous. We tried to go to another place after that, but the transport circle didn’t work so we couldn’t.
When it was time to leave we wanted to transport but there was no way so we had to march and we were doing that when we were warned of Akari ahead and then we had to fight our way through which was very very difficult but we didn’t lose anybody and that is my report.

A short report into the events that occurred in the Greenwood.
I arrived at the arranged meeting place alone as no-other member of House Valentine could make the trip. The assembled Harts and allies were to transport into the Deep Greenwood. Lyra Harshencraft, Duchess of Gloucester was in charge. We arrived to find that the Greenwood was crawling with the deluded worshipers of Calligar (known as hounds), but we made contact with the Siratha Elves and were led to their encampment. There we faced a number of attacks from Calligar hounds and had to perform a number of tasks, including escorting an Elf to a nearby grove and protecting him whilst he assumed the mantle of Guardian of that Grove. Afterwards we were led to a village within the Greenwood where we could spend the night.
The next day brought the confirmation that the village was Chapel Perilous. That day we were periodically attacked by Calligar hounds, we were also tasked with the retrieval of three artefacts related to our mission; The Cup of the Hunter, the Bow of the Huntress and Sir Gawain’s Sword. The Bow of the Huntress had to be re-forged and four items were needed but we had to find out what they were throughout the day. The items were; hair from a dryad, heart of a stone ogre, tears of a widow and blood of a heretic (the last wasn’t too hard, there were plenty of Calligar hounds willing to spill theirs).
A slight aside was the attack on the forces being assembled by Manananan, intent on attacking Albion as he was not chosen as part of the trinity. Our part was to do something about the mists covering an assembled fleet. After fighting our way through Calligar hounds and some form of mist elementals we were able to transport to what I believe was the Isle of Lindesfarne, where we fought off more mist elementals and carried out a small rite or ritual to destroy a number of frozen logs within a fire. The mist was dispersed and we returned to the Greenwood.
By evening we had the four parts needed for the bow and a ritual was carried out to re-forge it. This meant that everyone who could fight was lined up outside of the ritual fighting off waves of Calligar worshipers, the ritual was successful and the Bow of the Huntress was re-forged. However, the Cup of the Hunter had fallen into the hands of Calligar worshipers and we had to rush to disrupt a ritual being carried out by them. We were far more successful in disrupting their ritual than they had been with ours. Finally the evening drew to a close with the arrival of some bards and a few songs around the fire-pit in the village, though we occasionally had to stand and fight off sporadic attacks.
The final day in the Greenwood brought further fights with Calligar hounds as we conducted a ritual at midday to cleanse the Cup of the Hunter using the sword of Gawain and the blood of Calligar hounds. This was successful. We were then intent on returning from the Greenwood with the artefacts, on the way to the transport point we were informed that the Akari were moving their forces into the area. As the transport item we had used the day before was gone this meant fighting our way through the Akari lines, it felt like we fought two or three companies before we fought our way clear. Three days later we left the Greenwood.
